Learning Disabilities

Learning Disabilities

Course Aim

To raise awareness of what learning disability means and an understanding of how we can provide appropriate support using a person centred approach.

A down-syndrome man completing an e-learning course.

We are confident that our Supporting people with Autism training and this Learning Disabilities training covers the theory of the Oliver McGowan training. However, please be aware that you will need to complete the relevant practical training for either tier one or tier two as relevant to you / your organisation.

Tier 2 practical face to face training should be completed by those whose job role involves supporting people with autism or learning disability on a regular basis.

Tier 1 practical training is for everybody else working in the Care Sector.

We are not currently able to provide the practical elements of this training.
