“We have been with the same training provider for many years, using a paper-based training system that took a lot of time to coordinate. When the training was issued to the staff, they would take ages to complete the courses which had a negative impact on our compliance. We were always chasing compliance and we never had the control we wanted. We paid staff for the time they spent training and, with the old system, staff would claim several hours for one course.
The Solution
In searching for eLearning solutions, we found multiple suppliers offering different systems at a variety of prices. After much consideration we opted for eBox from Redcrier. The salesperson was attentive and helped with set-up tailored to our needs.
Often finding software can be a challenge, it was a priority that the system was easy for staff to use. The rapport between myself and Redcrier salesperson was positive, and the company was really helpful, showing us how to get the best out of the eLearning. It helped that the salesperson had had experience of working in care previously.
We are now approaching 100% compliance and have visibility of exactly what we need to do to be fully compliant with our training. This would not have been achievable in the past.
The Outcome
Our team really like the new (eBox) system, and are happy to use it because it takes a lot less time to complete a course, which means they can concentrate on keeping our high standards of care. The management team have better visibility of who we pay for completing a course and the cost of paying staff for courses has reduced due to the training taking less time.
Although Redcrier cost me a little more than some of the other suppliers, we found that our return has been made in support from the Redcrier team.
