Time To Give Thanks and Praise for Carers

The past 16 months have seen events that most of us never imagined we’d experience. The debt of gratitude we all owe to health and social care workers, who kept working on the frontline throughout the pandemic, is immeasurable.

In difficult times, thanks and appreciation can mean a great deal. Thank and Praise is an online platform where we can all publicly thank the carers, healthcare workers and people in education who have shown such incredible dedication. It also raises funds for good causes.

Redcrier is 100% behind Thank and Praise (TAP) and the Sparkle for Social Care campaign. The campaign was launched to make sure that everyone appreciates the phenomenal dedication, hard work and continued sparkle shown by the UK’s 1.6million Care Workers. Simply by sharing your stories you can help more people be aware of the awesome contribution made by the nation’s care workforce to improving people’s lives.

How to Say ‘Thanks’

If you or somebody you know has received support from a carer or care provider, and you want to say thanks and tell the world how much you appreciate what they’ve done, it’s now easy. Just go to the Thanks and Praise website, find the Healthcare and Social Care thanking wall under the Success Stories tab and join the thousands of others who just want to show their appreciation and support. It really does make a difference!

TAP runs monthly awards based on comments posted on the walls. The winner receives a certificate and coverage in social media. The story is also promoted to local press and radio. It’s another opportunity for care teams and individuals to get the recognition they deserve.

Redcrier also wants to say thanks for everything that care workers have done and continue to do. We’re adding a bit of extra recognition to the TAP July award by offering the winner a range of free training support. And for all care providers, there’s a range of free training materials that you can download from our resource centre; it’s our small way of saying ‘thanks.’
