Update (1)

What we have accomplished over the last 3 months

New App launched

The accessibility of eLearning is one of the main drivers in terms of learners being comfortable in engaging with the content and fitting the learning around their busy life. This makes our eBox App valuable and allows us to collate the data required for the compliance reports in the main Learning Management System. We see the App as a crucial addition to the overall learning experience. That is why we are incredibly pleased to have rolled out an updated version of the eBox App, with performance improvements, increased security, and a streamlined user interface.

Customer focus

We have helped a care provider implement their eBox Learning Management System (LMS). The care provider operates a small number of care homes, currently employing around 350 people to help support individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities. The introduction of the eBox LMS has meant that their staff team have really engaged with the new format of training. The course content accessibility has resulted in an all-time high course completion rate. Some of the sites now boast over 90% completion rate.

The new LMS has meant that the Training and Development Manager has been less occupied compiling the training data, as it is all presented to them within a dashboard and reports. Instead, the L&D Manager has been afforded the time to review their entire induction process. That new, streamlined, induction process has made life easier for the Home Managers, the assessors, and the new inductees as they all can see the process clearly and all understand their part and what needs to be achieved and by whom. In turn the new process is highly efficient, and the new induction takes a fraction of the time and resources of the previous one. It would be a fair assumption to link a welcoming, straightforward induction, setting the scene for an inductee and their perception of their new employer, therefore the likelihood of them retaining their employment with the said employer would be greater.

Choosing the right digital tools to help with your training and working with a relevant supplier goes far beyond whether an individual member of staff has completed a course or not. The eBox LMS can report on that type of information at a basic level. How you leverage that information will set the scene for everything else within your organisation.

Increased course range to help with Person Centred Approach.

Care is a particularly challenging environment to operate within, due to the nuances that arise when interacting with people. The entire sector is founded on a person centred approach. The expectation that, as a care manager, you should gear everything around idiosyncrasies presents a challenge that is not faced in many other industries. To be compliant your colleagues need to have an awareness of all topics pertaining to an individual and their needs. Individual needs and requirements can change over time, evolve with a health condition or completely U-turn. In terms of ‘mandatory’ training, there is a clever catch all termed as “specific conditions” which means that if someone in your care has the rarest tropical illness that affects 1 in 5 million people, then your staff need to be aware of that condition. To share some of this burden with you, we are constantly producing new courses to help your staff have greater empathy and understanding regarding those in their care. Over the last few months, we have launched courses that help with mental health, physical health, regulations, and geographic variations within the care sector. Plus, there are many more to come in the coming months. Please see full course list here.

What we are working towards

Beneficial Collaborations

Working more closely with external partners to create better outcomes for our clients. We have been working very closely with KareInn to develop ways in which a Care Planning system and an eLearning Management System can be integrated for the benefit of the care manager and staff using the systems to better support individuals. We are confident that through combining these systems, we will be able to offer any of our clients that utilise both systems huge improvements in efficiency and safety measures. Watch this space for further updates.

Increased course list.

You may have noticed the story above that shows we have launched nine courses over the previous three months. Well, we have not stopped there and already have another four in the pipeline. Furthermore, we have also developed a web page where we would love to hear from our clients in terms of the courses that they would like to see in our course range. If you have a topic that you need to share amongst your organisation, then we want to hear from you. Disclaimer time; we might not be best placed to create a course on that pre mentioned rarest tropical illness that affects 1 in 5 million people, but we would at the very least listen to you and consider how we could help you. Visit our new webpage and leave us a course title and your contact details and we will add the idea to our melting pot and contact you should we produce the course.

Final Thoughts

We are supporting service users through empowering learners, who are supported by the care managers whom we equip with our training. How do we do that? By creating strong, interactive training content. By making transactions with us easy. Through creating a stable business to allow us to support clients moving forwards and the only way we can do that is by constantly reviewing what we are doing and how it is supporting those within our network. If you are currently reviewing your training and want to talk to us to discover ways you can make improvements to your organisation, then call us today.
