There is no doubt that working within the care sector and looking after others can be mentally and physically challenging. Here at Redcrier we work on the periphery of the sector and support Managers and care staff who do a fantastic job. We wanted to do something really positive to carry on that support, so two of our team have committed to complete the Fleetwood Triathlon on the 9thSeptember 2018 to raise funds and awareness.
Managing Director Andrew Seville and National Sales Manager Anthony Davis will be completing the 400m swim, 20km bike ride and the 5km run in aid of charity. There are thousands of great charities doing some great work, but we wanted to contribute to The Care Workers Charity for all the support they make available to workers within the sector.
There are approximately 1.5 million care workers in the UK, giving their time and energy to support others. The stresses placed on care staff can sometimes lead to illness, injury or other unforeseen circumstance. The Care Workers Charity is “the rainy-day fund for everyday heroes”.
